Irving L. Wieselman received his MA in Physics from UCLA in 1947. He worked in engineering at Northrop Aircraft on an inertial guidance system, and was also involved in the purchase of the BINAC from Eckert-Mauchly Computer Corporation. From 1953 to 1962, he worked at International Telemeter Corporation (later Telemeter Magnetics) on the logical design of a Russian-to-English language translation machine, and on digital systems using core memories.
